I have tried to set the dice with the P40 and after over 200 tosses found not success. Having said that, however, I still think it is "nice" and appropriate when you don't use a cup to "drop" the dice into the box instead of gently laying them in, as that will avoid any possible suspicions or concerns. Even if it is not possible to set the dice and lay them in gently to affect the roll, it certainly is not nice to try doing it.

Anyone who is against using the scrambler without cups is free to roll for me--I'll be happy if I never touch the dice. I believe the benefits of using a scrambler or good baffle box are clear, and while I know that many people just don't like them because they are used to rolling the dice and like doing it that way, and others object to both players rolling on the same side of the board, I also believe in the saying: "If you don't want to do something, any excuse will do."
