Die on a Checker Tales

I think either rule -- the USBGF die on a checker rule or the EU/UK delay reset rule -- is trivial and insignificant. I happen to like the die on a checker rule but I can easily live without it -- I have never been one to frequently cock dice despite vigorous shaking an rolling.
Why the die on a checker rule is the more controversial of the two, I have no idea. It is of significantly less impact to the game.
I see no justification for ever resetting the delay for cocked dice.
Further, the UK/EU delay reset rule is but a huge loophole inviting abuse by the unethical player.
And, of course, I find the action of an opponent often double-punching a clock, even on my turn, to be annoying and distracting.
I think the American solution a better one; however, as I said earlier, both are much ado about nothing in my book.
