If I understand your point correctly, then you see a need to unify the backgammon rules in the US before it makes sense to try and align with the rest of the world.

Might it be easier to unify the US if you adopted the rules used by EUBGF as that would mean we'd have a globally unified rules set? It appears that the idea of a universal set of rules is an idea which appeals to a lot of US players, at least those who are vocal in this forum.

I raised a few questions to you in another thread and I would like to repeat those here in case you missed them:

1) Did you read the common rules set which is used by the member nations of the EUBGF in order to evaluate if it is suitable to be adopted by the USBGF?

2) If yes, then why didn't you go for the EUBGF rules?

3) If no, then why didn't you want to consider the rules which have been commonly agreed by the many countries in the EUBGF?

I am not necessarily looking for a long, elaborate answer to each question (I understand it will be timeconsuming to give long answers to all questions and comments). A short "yes" or "no" will do as an answer to Q1. "We don't like this or that particular rule" would suffice as an answer to Q2. etc.
