Pass.

A possible reference position :

Move number 5: Black on roll, cube decision?

Pip counts: White 77, Black 194
Position ID: 3+cAAGCwG6DUDA Match ID: UQkAAAAAAAAA

This is quiz 161 from one of the last issues of Inside Backgammon. Conclusion from Robertie and 1998-vintage Snowie was that it is too good to double and a big pass (equities : 1.2 -> 1.6), and Black should take a free roll or two and double when White has a threat to get a checker home.

In the match, we are not on the bar and Stick's, blockade is a lot weaker. On the other hand, our forward position is more vulnerable, we have neither gammons nor recube vig and Stick's outfield control seems slightly better.

I think we are better than in the quiz position, but not enough. His holding of the ace point and our lack of recube stink. Instead of us having the recube to teleport us from 80% to 100% winning chances, the ace point guarantees him more or less the same 20% bonus even if everything goes right with our stragglers.
