A history of effective marketing -- of which professional live streaming (or as professional as possible thanks to the USBGF including some with commentary ala the fabulous Larry Shiller), an attractive website, marketing to social media, consistent email campaigns, photography, responsiveness to public comments, and online bracket updates are all important components -- results in added visibility. With added visibility, comes increased attendance. With added visibility and increased attendance, comes sponsorship. With added visibility, increased attendance, and sponsorship, comes added money.

I don't agree that added visibility, increased attendance, sponsorship, and added money will not be "good for or progressing the game."
