I played bar/21(2), 20/16*, 8/4. Snowie wants to bring the two in and shift off the six point.

I don't understand. (unless Snowie somehow knew that in real life I would roll 4-4 twice in the next four rolls)

In fact, I had rolled 4-4 the previous roll hitting/slotting on my deuce. Then the subject 4-4 after he entered on the deuce and hit a second. Then 4-4 twice more in the next four rolls. Damn, I'm good.
