Blue is behind in the race and is hemmed in at the back.

Blue has no priming or blitzing prospects as things stand with white sitting on the anchor and therefore seeks contact before it's too late.

One way for blue to win is to improve her home board and provoke a blot hitting contest by playing 8/4 6/4.
