Normally I'd play the KISS 19/8 so what makes this position different from normally if anything? First, there's the score. The score combined with the cube being on 4 already makes the opp's gammon value much less than normal. There is obvious overage and being ahead by so much winning a single anyway means a decreased gammon value.
Second, there's the score. While for money when the opponent leaves a double shot with his [62 61 52 51] we'll also double because it's a last roll situation and we're a favorite so we cube, in match play it will become a cube of monstrous proportions given the score. (if we make the dmp play of 18/7) Hell, maybe we should cube AtS after the opponent's [64]!?
In summation, OtB I'm likely to keep it simple and play the regular 19/8 but since it's posted on the forums 18/7 has to be correct. One could also make an argument if you're the stronger player even if 18/7 is right according to XG depending on the margin of correctness, it is still right for the stronger human to play 19/8. End rambling.
