Playing Backgammon with interruptions, beginning with Danny Kleinman and reading other books, learning in the pre-bot era, I saw, how the bots have changed the play. Regarding the match database of Rick Janowski, you can see that a worldclass player prebot performed 5.5 - 6.5 PR. Now this is the level of an expert open player. So the question is: because Backgammon is highly non-linear, how can you put together conflicting concepts, dependent in their ranking in the shift of time, therefore changing from position to position? There are endless theories in short and middle-range, but getting the whole picture with a fair amount of work, an edcated (heuristic) guess, for a human, that is the task. Getting the book on tuesday, seeing here no statements, I wrote one, how this book, with my experience looks to me. Playing on bg-studio, PR 6.5 overall/actually 5.7; checkerplay 4.8, cubeplay advanced (leakage monitoring with extremegammon), I will see. A picture of the 'new' fourfold will follow.
