What happens if you just install 1.06 w/out uninstalling 1.04?

The 1.06 installer should detect the presence of the older version and offer to uninstall it before proceeding to install the newer version.

A configuration where it may not work is if 1.04 was installed from an administrator account and you install 1.06 from a regular account or vice-versa. In this case you may end with both versions installed (which would be repairable without too much difficulty).

If you're not sure, it can't hurt to uninstall 1.04 first.
