Marc B. Olsen did not add the concept 'outfield control' to the meta-concept CONTACT. Your experience suggest, that this concept also belongs to this 'hidden layer'. Sometimes, depending on inner board strengh, it can be better, not to hit inside, but waiting, with sufficient outfield control, to hit the scrambling man there, and when he dances, given cube access, to send it over.
