I love Stick's observations. Just one other point of order:

In the 2nd problem Phil states that red loses his market only with sixes and demonstrates how if you move the red checker from the 10 pt to the 6 pt it is no double, explaining that this is because red has less timing. But that explanation overlooks a key factor in the position: that red's 10 pt checker has an ace shot at blue. In fact, hitting that shot does often result in market-losing sequences (for example, 1-4 followed by 1-6 for blue) or lead to very strong doubles (1-4 followed by a dance). To see that the timing difference of 4 pips (from the 10 pt to the 6 point) is only a minor factor, adjust the timing by the same 4 pips by moving the blue blot from 16 to the 12. Still a clear double.
