22/10 13/7(2) with no real second choice for me.

I think part of the consideration is White's lack of a board (or any forward progress). If you get hit here it's no big deal, so you can play purely to improve your position vs. White's 4-checker holding game. If White had a 5 point board you would want to play safe.
