White's 55 changed the nature of the game. Now White has a board and is not very vulnerable anymore, while his midpoint is gone. Blue need to try to come home as safely as possible now. Clear the 9 as this needs to be cleared soon in any case, so let's do it while we can do so safely. We can break the midpoint next.

Important is that with Blue's strong board, White will have a hard time stepping out and leaving a blot in his outfield. This may sometimes be right, but even when right will not gain White much. In other positions, 13/4 might be better because after clearing the 9 White will step out and gain a lot of shots when Blue needs to break his mid.
