Raise your hand if you knew Marty was going to say "Hello Marty!"
/me raises hand.
#1 - A major reason that hitting is wrong can be found in XG's numbers, backgammons lost. If it was down to simply wins and gammons hitting would be right there.
#2 - Just dead obvious.
#3 - How can you stare at the pip count and your dice roll and not get the pip count correct. Shame on you Marty!
Why it's the right play is because all the hitting numbers with the wrong play are detrimental to your position when the opp has such a strong board. (and there are quite a few of them) With the correct play you don't like being hit but at least you keep your structure v. two men back.
#5 - Just too many men in the zone to split. Realizing this simplifies things. Mentioning how fast he counts pips when he got the pip count wrong two problems ago ... hmmm... I can count pips really fast too via that method.
#6 - It said invalid cube because you had it marked as 7a 7a Crawford. If you've seen it before yourself it's because you, too, screwed up inputting the position.
