Just update you all.. there is movement on the perimeter!
Masahiro must have noticed this thread because he got in contact with me through my personal email account.
He said he realised that achieving 100% accuracy with kifume is almost impossible has been developing some additional 'helper' software to isolate the questionable moves that need human intervention and make identifying / correcting them as easy as possible.
I checked out his prototype of this and did some basic analysis on the example match he gave me the link to.
These are the figures I came up with for the 19 point match which consisted of 12 games. (BTW I do realise that 1 single match is a small sample size)
Total Chequer Moves 377
Cannot Move Total 25
Check Move Total 9
Check Cannot Move Total 3
Check Error Total 39
Just plain 'Error' Total 1
Number of Games Total 12
Chequer Moves + Cannot Move = 402
Checks + Errors = 52
Moves + Can't Move per game = 33.50
Errors per Game = 4.33
Percentage of 'problems' 12.94
Straight up Accurate(?) 87.06
My calculations were done quickly so may not be perfect but I think they are pretty close.
If I am in the ballpark, 87.06% accuracy at prototype stage is a fantastic achievement! Also, with further refinement, even this respectable figure will probably improve.
BTW, Cube actions (Double / Redouble -> Take or Drop). There were 13 of these and they looked like they were 100% accurate!
Does anybody in the community think that this software might be useful? ;)
I have replied to Masahiro and will keep you posted regarding any other developments and responses.
