Same thoughts for me.

Let me also add the EPC to the picture for anyone interested.

Blue is somewhat close to a reference flat 222222 board (the gaps doesn't really matter much if they can be easily filled with checkers from higher points), so about 10 pips wastage for an EPC of 63 before the roll or 56 after the roll (if he chooses to not raise his wastage with 23/16).

White has stack+stragglers position, so 3.5 pips x 6 checkers total + pipcount of stragglers, minus 3 = 57 EPC.

The race alone looks about 60/40 in White's favor after Blue plays 23/16.
