Here we go my BG dosage for the day. No problem 11 to 10 9 to 4 easy peasy. As is my won't I give extreme gammon a chance to prove me wrong. The nodes light up instantly its a light display . A very pretty picture and a pretty good play 9 to 4 5 to 4. A simple switch wins the day. Strangely it appears to me that lesser mortals do not understand the fact that roll odds are the basic ABC of backgammon. Perhaps that's why they don't bother to learn one of the simple basics.

The object is to slot the four point and hopefully take advantage of the 70% chance that white will miss the hit. The 11 to 10 9 to 4 play needs a 6 to cover. There are 17 rolls that achieved this. Of course everyone knows that don't they? Switching the point produces 30 rolls that cover the five point. One can recognise these kind of plays from experience or maybe get there quicker with roll odds. You don't have to actually do a count just look at the picture. I have read many books on BG but not seen any simple tutorials on the understanding of roll odds. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM.
