In Minnesota:

The initial double from the box must include at least half (rounded up) of the crew.

If the ALL members of the crew initial double the box, the box must take at least half (rounded up.) If only some members of the crew double, the box has no restrictions.

If the Captain is part of a take decision amongst similarly valued cubes, the captain must be taken first. However, the box is free to take cubes of a differing value and drop the captain's cube value offerings.
