Thanks for the informed and detailed analysis. Like you, I'd love to see RF in Paris this year: Resurgent game, mental strength over Nadal, likely easier field (Djokavic? Wawrinka? Murray?), chance for double career slam, chance for calendar slam. And he looks so smooth on clay. :)

It seemed odd that clay was understood to be bad for his knee -- I would have thought hard courts would be worst (you know, hard). What I've since read is that during the slide all the vibration carries up into the knee. Who knows? He's said he'll make his clay decision after Indian Wells.

You wrote a lot about Serve / Volley on clay (which is precisely what I asked about, thanks). More generally, what do you think about his current hyper-aggressive, take-the-ball-early, inside-the-baseline game on clay? It's sort of the opposite of what dirt-ballers usually do. So curious to see how he would fare now. :)
