OTB, blue offered the redouble to 8. As white, the redouble seemed obvious. I thought about this one for a minute or two. I counted 26-20 correctly, and figured that blue's ace point wastage was balanced by my gaps such that pip count would give an accurate picture. Admittedly, I passed this.
Several strong open level players that were watching agreed with the pass, with one calling the XG++ answer a "surprising result". Another was behind me apparently mouthing "pass" to another observer.
