Like wow, man! I won't be in Vegas, so you can give my joint to one of the panhandlers outside, and maybe snarf them some goldfish crackers from the bar in case they get the munchies.
But for your edification, here are some ways to take advantage of turning 50 in BG-land. It was awhile back for me, as everyone will know when I note that I first published this when I was turning 50, and it was on the BB at Kit's original site!
1) If a checker or die falls on the floor, I won't have to chase it any more. I'll just say, "One of you kids go get it!"
2) If they want me to do the chouette score when there are 8 players, 7 "extras", 6 side bets, 5 beavers, 4 automatics ... and perhaps at the end, a partridge in a pear tree? I will say, "Dang! I left my bifocals at home! Somebody else will have to figure this out."
3) If they get too verbally abusive or generally disrespectful, I will act snippy and tell them, "Hmmph! That's no way to talk to an elder stateswoman!" [..in your case, presumably you will substitute "statesman"]
YMMV on all of them. The first time I tried #1, the rest of the chou all looked at me funny and said, "But you are the kid!"
