Cubes are what stronger players fear most, but you should be careful at what scores you cube. This position would be a D/T among equal players (hence good opportunity for the weaker player) if e.g the score was 1-0 in your favor. Winning gets you to 4A which is a "signal" score in the sense that a cubed gammon wins the match from there.

That said when you are the weaker player seek positions at which the stronger player should Take but runs the risk of losing a gammon.
