Something at stake

The biggest problem with these blot infested boards is that a large percentage of hitting numbers also cover or make at least one more point in the white homeboard. It would however strip out the builders.
DMP = Double Match Point. No cube to be turned. It has already been turned to a point where its now no longer in play, gammons dont matter, both players are interested in purity of play only, and the plays that gain the most in terms of single wins. Gammons no longer have double the value of the single win, or affect your play in any way. Just get super safe, dont leave shots, so on and such forth. Make the most aggressive play necessary. Also, it doesnt matter if you get gammoned either, so if necessary, strew those blots around, do what needs to be done to win. The 1pt game is an artform in and of itself. It really changes an awful lot of plays. Which makes a solid knowledge of theory very helpful.
