Gus Hansen v Sander Lylloff

I thought Sander made the only play he could make, he was 57 pips down !! He had to hit.
Perhaps the more interesting play was a couple of rolls later when Sander had the 6-3 to play. The six was obvious. The question with the 3 was whether or not to lift the blot off his bar point. The commentators' sentiment (Clark, Holm, and Falafel) was to lift the blot. Sander chose to leave it and got hit -- leading to his loss. Quick Snowie rollout says lifting it is third best play.
In both instances Sander's extreme time problems doubtlessly influenced his decisions. I don't know that he would have played them differently but I'm sure he would have liked more time to think about it.
I liked the 'speed' format though. Made for entertaining viewing.
I read they had 3 minutes each for the 5 point match and played with a 15 second buffer. So, that is 36 secs/pt. I think many championship level players play this fast and championship level matches are often played to this speed. Oftentimes, my opponent and I will have half or more of our time left with a 2 minute/point setting.
