I don't like the 2 point, I now XG says you should do it when trailing in a match. If I play a weaker player going on the bar creates complex positions where I can win more games and enough gammons. Running is a good option against a stronger player if the score is even, in the case I trail making the 2 point creates positions I don't like and am not used to play. I think is more important to address the game in a certain direction with this roll then the small equity you lose by not making the best move.
