This started as something we just joked about when we started calling our friend Ricky "The Intermediate Giant" in Chicago. As the weekend went on we started extending that out to others. I didn't think much of it, but after we got back Bill asked me who was on my "Intermediate Giants" list. I was bored at work, so I went through the lifetime ABT points of some of the current intermediate players, some of whom recently stepped up to open. It's not scientific at all. The list was actually longer, and I didn't know Bill was going to post it here. I'm guessing he wanted to start a discussion about who some of the better intermediates are...maybe the criteria that would go into deciding the best, like you point out. I'm not really sure.
