Back to the original problem of RSI. If you are experiencing this problem with playing Backgammon, you will be experiencing this problem with computer use in general, not just playing online.

In 1994 I was diagnosed with RSI and as a computer programmer I could nor think of anything worse but now all these years later I still work in the computer industry and am totally pain free.

I found that most medical professionals had a total lack of knowledge about what to do to heal yourself. In short buy :- a vertical mouse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgYEGX9WDn4 , buy a Kinesis Advantage 2 keyboard (currently $390 US) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_bjnoJ9DM0 and a Kinesis foot pedal to replace mouse clicking https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hww3XorG418

A final thought, it is easier to avoid RSI than to recover from it, so I recommend trying the above devices before you get RSI.

With the Kinesis Advantage 2 keyboard, the first week you will hate it, the second week you will think that this could work, and the third week you will threaten violence against anyone who wants to take it away from you.
