In Response To: a probabilities question (Boop)

This pair of puzzles shows a further complication. (Beyond the first roll being a double issue and also the one Stick pointed out to me of errors in recording such as 66 being recorded for a closed out player).

Puzzle 1: Suppose that you flip a fair coin in groups of 10 and record the results. If you choose a random set of 10 and then choose two tosses from those 10 what is the probability that you get a match?

Puzzle 2: Suppose that you flip a fair coin and make a game out of it. If the first two tosses are H's then you win. Otherwise there is a 3rd toss and if it is a H you win and if a T your opponent wins. This game is played many times. If you choose a game at random and then choose two tosses from it what is the probability you get a match?
