What are the odds--Monte Carlo bets | Betting sites?

No idea about the effort/cost/profit calculus.

However, I don't see why setting Monte Carlo odds would be wildly different from setting any other odds.

I am not in that business, but I understand (and could very well be wrong) that the house first makes an educated guess and then varies the odds depending on how much money is bet on the specific outcomes.

With respect to backgammon, I suspect the house could get educated very quickly by hiring as a consultant one of the active world-class players to estimate the initial odds. Then adjust as betting goes on.
