Even way below big major games and sports live coverage of world championship finals with only 500.000 viewers would be devastating. BG has like 350(!) viewers so broadcasting that is a waste of time and effort if we cannot gain a lot more popularity or being noticed even.
Why have Poker or darts become that big? Maybe sometimes it's just a right time right place kind of thing. And these days with all that nationalism a contrary feel good story might sell. And I agree that there are very few prejudices in our community so why not promote that. And what does stage a big fight mean? How? Moneywise?
Most people in the world have never heard about BG tourneys at all. First order is to let them know. No matter how you do it, bring it in the papers. Even active players but 350 don't seem to give a shit about spending several hours on splits and slots even by two giants so that's not the way to promote. Actually in a perfect world it should mean that noone gives a shit about Darts matches either which isn't the case. Do something. Think outside the box. They already tried? Try again somewhere else. Just saying.
