With my sickness of undervaluing the bar point and overvaluing the golden point, I'd probably talk myself into making the 5. This will be a long game and the golden point will be a lingering asset. Any other play is too slow and White will have 16 immediate rolls to claim our golden point.

But then again, probably something like a solid, noncommital, safe and slowly-improving-while-cube-is-in-the-middle 24/22 13/7 is correct.
