It is reasonable to think that 22/16 5/3 will win more gammons while 22/14 will win more single games. If these effects do not wash out and one play comes out ahead, the margin will likely be small. Over the board I would abandon the effort of analysis and choose the play that leaves the fewest jokers: 22/16 5/3.
