Often in this type of position it is worth an extra shot to get closer to home. Here I can get two pips closer to home at the cost of an extra shot plus two more blotting big doubles when he dances.
I thought for a few seconds more than normal in a money game and played 22/14 and was hit with a 64 and lost.
Not a lucky session for me, as earlier I'd had an almost certain gammon with my opp with several checkers back on my 5 pt and on the bar, but got hit only needing to clear 2 checkers on each of my 6 and 7 pts, losing that game as well.
