2019 USBGF -- Next Step?

In Response To: 2019 USBGF Tournament Rules - effective January 2019 (Rich Munitz)

Many of us have argued for years that this game needs a single set of rules for backgammon all over the world.

It was my understanding that the USBGF intends to work with the European Federation to adopt a single set of rules.

What, if anything, is being done to make this happen? If nothing is being done, why not?

I have yet to hear ANYONE provide a logical reason not to have a single set of rules for the entire game worldwide.
