P40/australia tournament cancelled?

I'm surprised it's taken this long for anyone to comment about the supposed cancellation. I was eager to assist but I've been waiting to have some discussions about what has or has not been going on.

Some of us spoke about the possibility of an event still running in January and I would like to think this can still be organised. Perhaps not a $5000 buy-in but we'll see. I want an event to occur and personally have not given up hope. I hope I know more by the end of the week.
