I would eliminate 8/2 first - with few checkers up front and many back, we cannot put a checker out of play. Next to go would be 24/18. We don't want to be double hit on the 18 and 20, and there are quite a few numbers that double hit. Also, assume your opponent rolls nothing, what are we covering with? If we cover with a 2, we have a 23/18 holding game, not very attractive. If we cover with a 5, we have a 18 point holding game with a large deficit and vulnerable checkers in our home board. So this cannot be good either.
Between the last two it is more difficult. I'd like to play 13/7 with the idea of bringing a checker in play and slotting good points. The problem is that there are many double hits which hurt a lot. Maybe 20/14, cutting down on what your opponent can do and duping 2s is best - but it is not the play where my heart is.
