Agreed that is likely the factor that knocks out the strategy of just slotting the bar, covering and hoping he crashes first. Too many ways of getting hit back on this turn, and then having him snaffle up the rest of the blots faster than you can punch back. It's one thing to leave the 1-6 joker, but another to leave so many others at the same time.
