Yes, I'm sure 36-ing (dice distribution) will get you there; good idea.

Put White on roll after Blue hits with 23/17* in each of the two positions (two XG instantiations), and compare the tables side by side. If I'm right about the reason, the comparison of three rolls should dominate.

(I doubt you'll find much if you compare pointing-on-head in the two positions.)
