Great problem and subject line. I would make the ace point rather than making the five, but that is little more than a guess. That leaves four builders instead of three. I prefer not to have our row of attackers nullified by a hit. And, the blot on the ace may reduce the value of some fine attacking rolls next turn when it is still there. On the down side, making the ace passes up some of the excellent priming opportunities that the five point gives when the attack stalls.

I would definitely want to see a live cube rollout of this position. I think that there may be some efficient cubes after making the five point that are missing after making the ace point. (I hesitate to make this projection after my OLM comments yesterday. I've made a point of not driving since then following Neil's suggestion. Hopefully I can drive and evaluate cube decisions again today.)
