Agree. There is something else that could be useful, do the same rollout with all White's checkers from the deuce moved to the ace. This will show that hitting loose is also the correct technique to roll the prime forward. It avoids some awkward sequences along the way to closeout and achieves a rollout with the spares better positioned. Blotting and picking up a second checker is part of the story, but it is also the right way to move the prime up.
