The main benefit is the option to zoom in a bit. Now this may be a software thing that can be fixed on other lite's. I can square in much better on the 4k.

The benefit that you mentioned about the .sec file is wonderful. That is the file I am currently using to upload to youtube.. much faster and makes it worthwhile.
