I have seen the concept of removing all spares so that entering all means cracking before, so I am happy with hitting the outfield spares. After 24/22 13/12*/11*, an entering 4 is a setback, but not a huge one. Maybe I should check dice distribution.

Your play is interesting. It gains time to escape, but also ensures that more time is needed to escape. Difficult to see how these factors balance.
