There was a time when I found it interesting to produce a formula to calculate the number of rolls required to enter a number of available points with a number of chequers. I even put it on a spread sheet lol. This exercise did no more than prove the obvious. The fun was creating the formula.

Assuming one has understood the position the best play is a nobrainer. I of course gave XG the chance to prove me wrong. Getting the best play correct guarantees nothing in most cases. I do wonder how many appreciate a learning curve from set problem positions.
