Thanks Justin for posting these positions. Some comments

1. A backgame where you have sufficient timing. Don't hit! /5 is then the logical 3 to go with B/23.

2. 22/18(2) for outfield control. If we can hit a few times when White comes around the board, Blue will become favorite, and with 22/18(2) we have tremendous control over the outfield.

3. I got this one wrong. I think you can afford 21/12 because of the spares that have gone dead on the 1 and 2. With dead checkers, you fear a blitz less. In any case, I need to study this position type more.

4. 21/15 13/1* 7/1 because you don't want to allow White an anchor, and because you gain many rolls to escape the last checker. You want to win the gammon.

5. Seems like a marginal double at best for money or early in a long match. ATS, a stronger double, but still a clear take. 4-away 2-away, it is a big pass.
