Seeing messages normally again

Much appreciation, Marv and Mick, for your replies.

My "Set Preferences" was checked to "Posted within the last 1 week" (which I doubt it was before -- not sure how it got there). I changed "week" to "year" (more works also), just as Mick suggested, and now everything appears to work normally, except... now all messages are displayed on one very long page instead of over many pages (which doesn't matter to me).
