Position of the Day #4

A calm play would be 8/7 8/6 or 7/4 (not sure which is better). No blots to not give the opportunity to tempo hit. Some ways to attack the rear blot. But we are so much behind in the race that having a slot at the back of the prime might be justifiable.
I still have a hard time to learn to feel when rear slotting plays are called for. But since in this position I'd hesitate and I generally underestimate rear slots then I figure the slot should be good.
2 choices: 13/10 or 13/11 8/7.
I wouldn't count the numbers precisely OTB, but would just recognize the similar number of good numbers next turn (2 cover, 1 attacks). If so, I'd choose 13/10 as it has 2 advantages: better blocking (6-away instead of 5-away) and ace duplication (as Tim pointed out) for stepping up and hitting.
This is my reasoning and it got me to 13/10.
