I'd play B/24 6/5(3). B/24, forced. Then 6/5(2) because making the 5 point and prime seems a lot more important than sending another checker back and possibly facing a return hit or higher anchor. Making the 5 is difficult enough. I did not see 9/8 but giving up the 6-prime does not look right to me now that you mention it. 24/23 seems to self-block on 6s, so 6/5 with the last ace.
