New computer?

Hi!
Great to see this forum back!
I bought a new PC last year as it was starting to take a lot of time XG++'ing all BMAB matches (4hours+ was getting too much (typically 100+ matches)). I looked at some Intel 13900K but I saw some reports that the DDR5 tech wasn't quite there yet. Latency of 30+ versus DDR4 with 18+-. Don't know how much that will affect the analysis speed but I went for a 12700K with DDR4 3600/CL18. And saved a bit of money too! :-)
I get an evaluation speed 22 million pos/sec which isn't too bad. Up from my old one at 7.
I asked about it on othello's forum as I have seen some mention of this in the past and one user has a Ryzen 7950X and it looks like it may be 50% faster than mine.
I'm an Intel fanboy (unsure why!) so I didn't consider that brand of CPUs.
It was also mentioned that the evaluation speed test might not be demanding enough to give a real picture of the XG performance.
A rollout was suggested as a better measurement. XGID=-a---BCBCA--dB---bacbb--B-:0:0:1:32:0:1:0:11:10 GNUBg ID:2K7BAyCw24UBMA Rolling out the 5 best moves. Mine was a bit above 6 minutes and the Ryzen 7950X got a bit over 3.
The super expensive CPUs might do well but some have a fairly low clock speed but with a huge core count. Not sure if they will work well. I'd see if it was possible to try it out before I bought one of those.
Is there anybody out there with some super expensive hardware which can run the above test and totally crush the Ryzen 7950X? It will make me feel better! hehe
Best regards, TP
