We hardly need an excuse to recube at this score but even if this is a recube the only player I would recube is XG. To cube a human here is akin to a gift. They don't have to think about the take/pass decision. They simply pick the cube up and stick it in their tray. I try to avoid giving this kind of double unless it's a known situation where it's clearly a cube. Or, of course, if we might get a pass which I can't even imagine here.

One way to approach such cubes is win estimates etc...As rambiz pointed out, he didn't even know who the favorite is here. That's a good question to ask yourself while trying to narrow down the numbers. Personally I know I'd rather be the opponent in this position so I assume he's the favorite. Gammons should go his way too (not that they matter if we recube) since the doubler can't extend his prime and for the most part the opponent will be able to keep the high anchor as long as he likes.
